About Côtes du Rhône Village
Côtes du Rhône villages exist only in the southern part of the appellation and concern four departments: Ardèche, Drôme, Gard and Vaucluse. They have a Mediterranean climate marked by a drought (in summer but also winter) and by a strong wind, the mistral, which sometimes blows more than two hundred days a year. Moreover, they are distinguished from the Côtes du Rhône by their generous character, typed and their ability to guard.
