About the Domaine le Roc
The vineyard of AOC Fronton is located near Toulouse, between Garonne and Tarn. The Ribes family of Domaine le Roc strives to produce wines of character. Jean Luc Ribes took over the family property in 1981, joined by Frédéric and Cathy in 1988, and then by Pierre in 1995. Today, the property covers 20 ha on Boulbènes and Graves and is part of the leading pack of the Fronton appellation. The emblematic grape is certainly the Négrette. The vines have their own style and are often recognizable thanks to a supplement of perfume and saline character. If the entry-level expresses an immediate fruity charm in their youth like the “Classic” cuvée for instance, the more ambitious “Don Quichotte” wine offers all the spicy complexity of Négrette and Syrah.
