About Château Camensac

The vineyard of Château de Camensac is located on the edge of the Saint-Julien appellation. On the terroir of the town of Saint-Laurent-du-Medoc more preciselly. Located on the most beautiful rump of the town, the area is sitting on steep slopes of deep graves. In 1904, the Cuvelier family owned the estate. Then, in 1964, the  the Spanish Forner family bought it. Finally, in 2005, Celine Villars Foubet and Jean Merlaut took the Château. The Camensac castle has a certain reputation thanks to its Grand Cru classification of 1855.

Wine characteristics

Grapes: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot
Nose: Clean and straight. Before agitation, light praline notes and cocoa beans. After stirring, aromas of black pepper
Palate: The attack is frank. The palate is immediately aromatic in a register of blackberries and raspberries in which the notes of fine oakiness persists. The finesse of the tannic structure gives the whole body of the mid-palate. A harmonious and powerful wine
Robe: Clear Ruby
Evolution: 5 to 15 year aging potential
