About Château d’Etroyes

The Château d’Etroyes is located in the commune of Mercurey. Since 1720, seven generations of the Protheau family have worked at Mercurey to perpetuate this tradition of quality. Since 2002, the estate has also engaged a reasoned viticulture process involving respect for the environment and traditions.

Wine characteristics

Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
Nose: Clean and elegant, evoking ripe red and black fruits (raspberry, cherry, blackberry, blueberry). Evolution to woody notes, roasting, cocoa and a touch of licorice
Palate: Full, round and fleshy with a fruity expression of purity. Evolution towards a fine material, silky tannins supported by freshness. Balanced set with a long roasted final
Robe: Garnet red
Evolution: 10 year aging potential
