About the Domaine Le Colombier

The Mourre family has been living in Vacqueyras for several generations. Today, Jean-Louis Mourre is at the head of the Domaine Le Colombier of 30 hectares. His passion for soils and more specifically for geology has allowed him to develop a viticulture in respect with the elements that compose it(the soil, the vine, the climate). He knew what to give to his domain to raise it to the rank of the best appellation. A new wine cellar was created in 2011 to further increase the quality of the estate’s wines.

Wine characteristics

Grapes: 80% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre
Nose: Aromas of berries (blackcurrant), coffee, spices and cocoa
Palate: Beautiful balance with silky tannins, a concentrate of aromas and a beautiful length at the end of the mouth
Evolution: More than 10 year aging potential
